About Us

Twin Rivers Hearing Health, Inc. is a private audiological and hearing aid dispensing practice originally established Eighteen years ago as Providence Hearing Center and is one of the Best Audiologist's in RI. The practice was established to provide complete audiological, hearing aid, worker's compensation and related services to Rhode Island residents.

Dr. Uchmanowicz, after being a clinical audiologist for twelve years, specializing in industrial audiology (while working as the Manager of the Hearing Conservation Program for General Dynamics, Quonset Point, RI), began a solo private practice in Providence, RI in 1992. While at that location, it became apparent that her specialty was encompassing the entire state and a need arose for a more central location.

A search began for an appropriate site that would both service a wider population but yet remain in Providence County with her original client base. A retail site in a shopping plaza was selected; located on Douglas Pike, Route 7, conveniently located off Route 295 and 146; bordering the towns of Lincoln, North Providence and Smithfield.

Construction began in the summer of 2001. On July 1, 2001, Providence Hearing Center became incorporated and the name was changed to Twin Rivers Hearing Health Inc. In September 2001, the newly constructed practice was occupied at the new site.

The Twin Rivers Hearing Health, Inc. office uses the most advanced clinical equipment available for the analysis of all types of hearing problems. Additionally, as a hearing aid dispensing office, our staff has extensive expertise with state-of-the-art hearing aid technology such as programmable and digital processing instruments.

Besides our technical expertise, our professionals seek to promote hearing health by making information, advice and referrals available to our clients; recognizing that other concerns such as isolation, anxiety and depression may accompany hearing loss. Recognizing this need, it is the policy of our office to allow our clients the necessary time to discuss their needs and concerns. This critical aspect of our services sets us apart from our competitors.
